The Population Project is an US-based non-profit striving to list the full name and birth date of all humans alive. The database is fueled by official lists and user-generated contributions, and is actively growing with more than 1M records being added on a daily basis.
The website has been launched in early Fall 2022 and is currently being actively maintained and further developed by our team.
Our impact
The Population Project is a statistics website that provides information about the population of every country in the world. It has features like charts, interactive maps and tables to display different statistics about the population.
We have a website that can handle a high number of concurrent users and is very quick to respond. The technology it leverages is powered by the Jamstack approach we decided to work with and the results are visible on the live website.

The project has started with an MVP phase which consisted of all publicly accessible pages and the ability for visitors to search for records for people that are available in The Population Project's current data set.
The client, Antoine Bello, is very professional and the choices he has made for the project have had a positive impact on the outcome: great people choice (Development, Design, Data teams & more) and great planning on the Product goals.
Our team is involved in development for the public-facing website and in the discussions regarding future plans for the project and good practices for maintenance.
